Here is a quick video on a cheap repurposed chest I found at Lowes in the "deals" section. Took out the crappy innards and replaced it with my EDC stuff:
Having been looking for some time for a small toolbox suitable for knives and flashlights, I stumbled across the Grizzly H7994 8 Drawer Storage Cabinet which turns out to be well worth the small expense.
That video inspired me to get a cheap locking chest from Ace Hardware and set it up similarly. I like it. I cut squares of anti-skid liner for the shallow upper drawers, which hold the knives, flashlights, & MTs. The deep lower drawer holds random crap like sheaths, tools, spare parts, lube, Loc-Tite, etc.
Here is a Link to the best storage/display box that I have found for a great price- $39.99. Felt lined, I am very happy with her. Link: http://www.sportsmansguide.com/net/cb/sportsmans-storage-display-chest.aspx?a=585691
I've been using this toolbox ffor about a year as a bedside EDC bucket. It's a great way to cycle things in and out of carry. Good find!
ReplyDeleteVery cool Tony! That is a nice little box, would be nice to have all my EDC options in one place.
