Going All Out

Eric Au of Skinth Sheathes is an EDC maniac.  In addition to making some pretty bitchin' sheathes (one reviewed here by me; I really liked it and I am NOT a sheath person), he has some amazing gear and a great approach to customizing stuff to fit his needs and aesthetics.  Au's photograph is pretty amazing too.  Here is a ridiculously awesome thread over at EDCF that pulls everything together in a sort of photo journal with his gear explained and organized.  He even included his gear storage system.  Definitely worth a look.

Site note: I am giving away the Mr. Elfin tomorrow night around 8, so sign up if you want a chance to win a great little light.  Also, as you can see, I got in two items today, both out of my own pocket.  First is a RRT 01 from JetBeam.  Second is an Inova Microlight.  Both are going to get full reviews and, because they are perfect competitors to other things reviewed or being reviewed, they will be the subject of their very own shoot outs (which I love writing).

Shoot Out #1: RRT 01 v. Mr Elfin
Shoot Out #2: Inova Microlight v. LRI Micro Photon II

  1. I'm excitedly awaiting the RRT 01 review. It's a light that has been on my list for a little while and I haven't found the justification to buy one yet...

  6. While I love Multiplicity's EDC style, I would have a hard time if I really needed so many alternate carries. Am I the only one to think its borderline OCD?

  8. Love the shoot out reviews, keep it up. For the EDC systems simple is better for me. I like systems that fit multiple surroundings, and don't need to match the color of my shoes.

  11. Eric Au has made me feel so much better about my little collection of knives! At the same time, I do admire his organization and thoughtfulness. What focus! I'm really enjoying this site. I have learned more about knives than from anywhere else, so thank you very much.
