Incendio XM-L on deck

I just got my latest flashlight in the mail today. The Incendio V3+Upgrade Special Edition XM-L (that is a mouthful) arrived in the mail from a new place I am trying out, illuminationgear.com and so far WHOA this thing is a lumens cannon. The 550 emitter lumens (with a rechargeable cell only) is noticeably brighter than any light I have and rivals the brightness of the Dark Sucks (though the beam tint and beam quality are noticeably worse). Still for $59.95, these will not last long. The size of your thumb and half the lumens of a headlight all for less than $60. That is a good deal. More to come.

Also, illumination gear was great. I ordered it on Wednesday morning and it was shipped by the afternoon and arrived from Florida to New England today. Bam. Good first showing.

  1. I should NOT have opened this up - $60??? Man I almost have to get one now. Lookin forward to the full review.

  2. I was so excited when I saw this I ordered one right away. It arrived today and I was really disappointed in the output. Only then did I go back and read to find that output is 200 lumens with a CR123. The 550 lumens only comes with a 16340, which I don't have. Looking forward to your full review.

  3. Sorry for the confusion. I will make it clear from the text above. No light can hit those high numbers without an RCR battery. I have one and tried it out. Seems pretty accurate at 550 lumens but the light gets really hot.

  4. I didn't mean to insinuate that it was your fault I didn't know about the RCR thing. It's totally my fault. I only mentioned it to help someone else whom might make the same mistake. I ordered some RCRs and they should arrive soon; glad to hear you think the 550 is accurate.
